It’s Circus Time! shines a spotlight on the circus arts in Québec, from early pioneers such as Louis Cyr, street performers, and the first acrobat families to the modern day, with Québec circus companies making a splash internationally.
The exhibition highlights seven Québec-based troupes :
Les 7 Doigts, Flip Fabrique, Machine de Cirque, Cirque Alfonse, Cirque Éloize, Cavalia, and Cirque du Soleil.
Featuring some 150 objects from 15 lenders, numerous video excerpts, archival images, and interactive elements, the exhibition takes visitors behind the scenes to learn about various circus disciplines and life on the road. For its grand finale, the exhibition revisits some high points of Québec circus.
