Researchers’ Night

10 November 2023 - 19h00 to 23h00

Come and meet the region’s scientists to learn more about their fascinating research projects in a festive and relaxed atmosphere!

Did you know that museums regularly call on researchers? To ensure the veracity of the information presented in the exhibitions they develop, they are required to set up a scientific committee composed of experts.

This year, the J. Armand Bombardier Museum of Ingenuity joins the Night at MNS2 festivities and introduces you to researchers who have taken their place on its scientific committees.

CAREFUL!  You’ll see it all at this extraordinary evening that celebrates research and breaks down the walls between you and scientists.

PROGRAM

From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Scientific Kiosks
For a few shared moments, enter the world of Université de Sherbrooke researchers to discover what they are passionate about, to observe their work tools and to ask them all your questions! This year, scientists from fields as varied as geomatics, biochemistry, biology, pharmacology, engineering and education will be there.

Stay tuned! We will present them to you on the event page in the coming days.

Science Exposed 📷🤯
Is it psychedelic art? You’re not hallucinating! Science is not always what it seems, and the photographs submitted to the Acfas competition by researchers from the Université de Sherbrooke are sure to surprise you.

True or False? Under the magnifying glass of science 🕵️
Just because you’ve read or heard information somewhere doesn’t mean it’s necessarily true. Exercise your critical thinking skills by visiting this temporary exhibition, produced by the Sherbrooke Museum of Nature and Science with the contribution of Canadian Heritage, which will make you doubt yourself like a scientist!

GIANT Guess Who? 👓🦺
This is your chance to put a face to the multiple research chairholders featured in this scientific version of the popular game Guess Who? It’s up to you!

Snack 🍪🍻
Siboire beers, coffees and decadent Geogène cookies, juices and popcorn for small and big appetites!
